SLIPPER is a sculptural work that reimagines the tsinela as an object made of thin cement and bent metal. Separated from its pair, the work comments on diaspora and searching, it sarcastically flips the functionalities of the tsinela as a cultural tool for discipline and punishment, and toes the line between heaviness and fragility.
